چکیده
One of the basic needs for a country’s economic development is to cover major fuel demand, and both energy consumption environmental impacts resulting from production such fuels need be fast reliable. The purpose this paper contribute an estimate atmospheric emissions some pollutant species reported by Pemex Refinacion under different projections. predictive model was applied considering four gasoline demand scenarios, as well refining technology options satisfy needs, based on yields: types refineries, three crude oils eight processes. Emission estimates were determined applying emission factors, type fossil source used in direct heating processes vapor generation, using electric energy. Results show that equivalent relative total greater complex refineries (full conversion); however, conversion efficiency allows smaller volume needed with lower other technologies. Mexico’s possible adapt themselves operation changes crude’s yield, quality product, variations prices refined products. Therefore, important develop apply perspectives than maximize productivity minimize consumption, reducing air emissions, constant change scenarios. Finally, problem would then evaluating which more convenient obtain socio-economic benefit: reduce atmosphere or costs refinery.

متن کاملReducing Petroleum Consumption from Transportation
The United States consumed more petroleum-based liquid fuel per capita than any other OECDhigh-income country—30 percent more than the second-highest country (Canada) and 40 percent more than the third-highest (Luxemburg). This paper examines the main channels through which reductions in U.S. oil consumption might take place: (a) increased fuel economy of existing vehicles, (b) increased use of...
متن کاملThe Impact of Petroleum Product Intensity, Gasoil consumption and GDP on CO2 Emissions in Transportation Sector of Iran
The present study, in addition to investigating the impacts of GDP and gasoil consumption as the biggest consumed petroleum product in Iranian transportation sector, by introducing petroleum product intensity, studied their effects on CO2 emission in this sector. To evaluate the impact of the variables, we estimated an autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) model between the years 1996 and 201...
